Does anyone have information on Nerve blocks?

okay I'm having a nerve block done on friday on the back of my head. All they told me is that i will need a few shots in the back of my head. does anyone know anything about this.. is it going to make me feel sick.. will they keep me in the hospital. I'm having it done because i've had to brain surgery's for chiari malformation and I'm still having problems and they want to see if this will help. Is it okay for someone my age (16) to have this done. I'm just super nervous and any information would be great!

I have had nerve blocks before for a different problem.  The kind I had were done in the doctor's office.

There are different kinds of nerve blocks, some that require that the patient be put under a form of like general anesthesia to make reaching other parts of the nerve easier.

I would recommend checking with your doctor to find out what kind of nerve block you will get.
