Does anyone have knowledge of a crystal glass maker in Watford now closed down?

They made good quality crystal glasses, decanters and sundae dishes. Not sure when they closed but 1960s seem possible

I think you might mean 'Whitefriars Glass' which was actually located in Harrow about 4 miles from Watford. The date is about right.

An exhibition of their work is based at the local Museum. Try this link for more information on the company (you may have to navigate a bit)

No sorry but I would try the Town Hall in Watford as you will find they will probably keep all the this sort of stuff on microfitch.. Failing that you could try the local library.

I hope you find what you are looking for. I have shown an interest in  your question as an Uncle of mine worked there in the 1920's. He was killed when he fell down a lift shaft at the end of WWII.
