pictures or know where I can find pictures of INSIDE Amtrak trains?? Going on one soon and would like a preview

  1. ya, the amtrak web site should have pictures of each type of interior.  there are also many railfan picture sites, a lot are on flickr.

    BUT, there are different types of equipment.  what cities are you traveling between and what train #/time, then we can help you determine what pictures you need to look at.

    as a note, the fleet consists of amfleet, amfleet 2, acela, viewliner, superliner, superliner 2, horizon, metroliner, california car, cascade talgo, and autotrain.  see, lots of possibilities, but these are some names that you can put in search engines too, that would help you see the different types of train cars that are out there.

    if by chance any of your trip involves canada, there are additional types of equipment there, called HEP2, or renaissance, or lrc, or rdc.

    and of course, i have pix of most of this equipment.

  2. they are pretty nice. double decker trains with seats on both levels, and  big windows for looking at the views outside.
