Odd this must sound...Haha...Anyway...Okay, so i'm 15 years old. For the past 2 years or so I have noticed these strange urges to have to shake my legs non stop for about 2-3 minutes? If I don't shake them, I go crazy? Stress maybe? Maybe a nerve stimulator? Growth spurts?

I don't know, I have a few good guesses, but it would be nice to hear some other theories here... Anyone have similar urges/experiences?

  1. Restless Legs Syndrome has been linked to possible iron deficiency so make sure you ask your doctor for a full blood count (Hb level in particular) and also ask for a check of your iron stores (Ferretin).

    I hope it resolves 4 u soon :-)

  2. Crawly and creepy sensations in the limbs, generally in the legs but sometimes in the arms and trunk can be defined as Restless Leg Syndrome. The following characteristics or features define this sensation.

** Experienced during periods of inactivity; ** Generally are more severe in the evening; ** There is an overwhelming urge to move the limb; ** Often cause difficulty staying or falling asleep, which lead to feelings of daytime tiredness or fatigue; ** May cause involuntarily jerking of the limbs during sleep and sometimes during wakefulness .

I found this on a website for you, I've heard about this before and it's quite common, I get it sometimes and it's very frustrating, so give it a read, hope it helps :)

  3. Do they just feel a little sensitive and need to be shifted? It might be restless leg syndrome. Check out the link here for more information: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Restless_le...

  4. Restless Leg Syndrome - you should see your doctor, there is medication or possibly therapy you can work on.  I also have this but mostly when I was pregnant.  It is a very annoying feeling, I feel your pain!

    Good Luck!!!

  5. I don't think it is Restless Leg syndrome but then i again I could be wrong. I have that sometimes. I just out of nowhere have to shake my legs randomly well at night right before i go to bed. It only happens probably Once a month or something I don't know what it is I do have a lot of stress and I am 15 so I don't know what it is. Ummm maybe just an urge like biting ur nails...

  6. There is a medical condition called 'restless legs syndrome', look it up on search engine.

It usually effects people in bed, usually older people, i believe, but you could have it, or maybe a compulsive complaint.
