  1. Have a good attitude

    Be a team player

    Be yourself

    Try your hardest

Be in shape before you get there

Be humble and willing to learn

    Hustle

  2. be in better shape and hustle more than the other girls.  Your coach will notice.

  3. i made the volleyball team...every time the ball comes to you shout "got it" or "mine" and if some one beside you does bad tell them its ok be nice to people but play hard and over hand serve

    GOOD    LUCK   !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. go out there, be aggressive, and IN SHAPE. my coach makes a HUGE deal about being in shape. our 1st day of try-outs is all physical fitness.

  5. try to stand out from everyone else. dont be afraid to give your input and ideas.

  6. be yourself. be better

  7. BE IN SHAPE.....START PRACTICING NOW...RUNNING,STREACHING N HITING THE BALL...GO TO THE BEACH OR A POOL N PLAY PEOPLE U DONT KNOW!!!THAT ALWAYS WORKS FOR ME!!!!!!AND IF U DONT MAKE IT DONT BE MAD I DID NOT MY FIRST TIME BUT NOW ALL THE TEAMS WANT ME!!!

  8. do well, palms up for possitivity

  9. 1. Go into practice confident. NOT COCKY but confident in the idea that you are human and you can do anything if you are taught correctly.

    2. Respect your coaching staff, no matter what you have learned before, you have not learned from this coach. All coaches have different reasons and opinions so respect them and learn as much as possible from every coach you ever have.

    3. Always give 100%, on the track during warm ups, during drills, whatever, give 100% effort, listen with 100% of your ears, ask questions with 100% of your brain, and remember when you cannot see us, we can still ( and probably are ) seeing you.

    4. Coaches like players that are teachable, I select players that I can teach because they want to learn, I would rather have 6 girls that want to learn than 10 girls who think they know what they are doing already.

    5. lastly, equipment so you look like a player: sneakers and extra shoe laces, all players carry at least 1 extra pair of laces. knee pads, you should own your own by know, shorts, tshirts nothing revealing coaches want players not modles, and no jewerly, it is a hazard on the court...

    Good Luck

  10. keep yo eye on the ball

  11. well in my school it's all about being updated from modified to jv. and varsity...we have to be able to run a mile under ten minutes and it's really good if we can over-hand...also coaches really like it when you put yourself out there and become aggressive, no one wants a wuss on  their team.

ps. good luck!(i'm trying out for jv. in a month!
