I am perhaps the oldest working professional actor in the USA, and also a chap who is disabled. Presently, I am touring North America in a one-character play that is much ado about a day in the life of a man with aphasia--I am also aphasic. I'm eager to tour in Europe in '09 and 2010, and of course I am seeking advice, contacts, bumps in the night I should expect. Please.

  1. I think you'll be fine travelling through Europe, there is a lot of help for travellers on all levels over there and most countries are really modern, so having a disability won't be a problem.  (I don't know if im going down the wrong track here) but most europeans speak english too. ( one word, I dont know what your cross cultural communication is like but they are very different from Americans and you'll have to take that into consideration if your asking them favours, be nice). As far as getting contacts for the shows and stuff, i take it your looking for venues? I would try searching in Yahoo answers under the european countries lists at the bottom of the page and asking in their arts and entertainment sections. I dont know if i've helped or im going in the wrong direction but good luck anyway and you should be fine as far as health and transport go.

  2. ask your agent

  3. It all depents on,if you are a well known actor in europe i would say.Touring shoud not be to hard than.I don`t know at the moment what aphasia is but i am fixing to look it up.I wish you good luck with your tour.
