Question:

Does anyone have the label pattern from Sensations Rainbow Boucle for the knitted blanket?

I bought the two skeins of this yarn back in November, started the project, and then was forced to put it on hold until recently. Now, I'd like to get it finished, but I can't find the pattern. I've done Google searches to no avail, and none of my friends seem to have the same pattern. I'm beginning to wonder if I simply imagined it.

  1. Here you go, I just happened to have bought 4 skeins so I have the pattern. See below.

    SOFTLY STRIPED COZY THROW

    Supplies: 2 Skeins Sensations "Rainbow Boucle yarn"

    Knitting needles, size 11 (Circular needles helpful, but not necessary)

    Finished size:  Aprox. 56" square

    Note: Throw is made in alternating 12-stitch blocks of garter stitch and stockinette stitch.     Throw is worked diagnally from 1 corner to the opposite corner, startering with 1 block and increasing to 9 blocks at widest point, then decreasing back down to 1 block.

    DIRECTIONS:

    * Using two strands of Rainbow Boucle, cast on 12 sts.  Note: Both strands started at the same point in the light to dark pattern to achieve the soft strip pattern in the throw.

    * Knit 24 rows (12 garter stitch ridges on RS)

    * Increasing section: Next row (RS): Cast on 12 sts, k to end.

    Next row: Cast on 12 sts, k12, p12, k12.

    * Row 1 (RS) Knit.

    * Row 2: K12,p12, k12.

    * Rep rows 1 and 2 eleven more times---12 garter stitch ridges on RS.

    * Cast 12 sts at beg of next row and k to end.

    * Cast on 12 sts at beg of next row, k12, p12, k12, p12, k12. (There should be five 12-stitch blocks across).    Continue in established pattern.

    * Repeat increasing sequence as established until 9 blocks across row have been completed.

    * Decreasing section: Bind off 12 sts at beg of next RS row and k to end.  Bind off 12 sts at beg of next row and continue pattern.  Continue in established pattern until there are 12 row of garter stitch ridges on the right side.

    * Repeat decrease pattern by binding off 12sts at beg of next two rows.  Continue in pattern.

    * Continue established block pattern.  Decrease until on block remains.  Bind off when 12 garter stitches on right side have been completed.

    Hope this helps.  Good Luck!!!!!!!!
