When I was a 5th grade teacher, one of my favorite students was named Miriam.  She was a great kid.  She's all grown up and I think she works as a model.

I personally don't know anyone named Miriam, but there is Miriam Hospital in Rhode Island that I am familiar with. There is also a Miriam in the bible.
