also, do i need to buy a memory card for it? if so, which ones are compatible to it?

Seems like there's about four million reviews on the link you sent and most are very positive. Hard to go wrong with cameras these days.

For the layperson choose one to fit your budget and style and you won't be disappointed.

For best picture quality recommend Fujifilm or Lumix as class leaders in terms of lens quality.
