Does anyone have tips on pubic shaving?

I would like to shave my pubic hair but not quite sure about how to go about it. I have tried it once before and loved so much that I want to keep it shaved. When I did it for the first time a few months ago I used disposable razor and I got razor bumps and was very irritated after wards. How could I avoid the razor bumps, ingrown and irritation? Also how often should I shave to keep it looking good and smooth?

  1. Hair remover like Nair or similar product. Put it on and shower it off. Easy

  2. When shaving, you should use a new razor so you don't have to go over the same area too many times. Always go with the way your hair growns (up ---> down) and make sure that you use a shaving gel so the razor will glide easier. Try shaving right after a hot shower... it helps cause your pores are more open then.         gud luck!!!!

  3. Get an electric trimmer/razor. Does a better job that a regular razor, cuts really close but doesn't cause the razor bumps. I shave about once a week.

  4. For maybe 3 or 4 times when you start shaving it will irritate, but then u will get used to it.

  5. pre & post regimen of NEAT Essential Oil of Lavender.  Apply before shaving - leave on use with shaving cream and apply some after shaving. Lavender oil is one of the few that can be applied Neat, without a carrier oil.

  6. trim your hair as much as possible before you shave it

and as far as how often to shave

    that depends on you

    I hope I helped!

  8. I have come up with a system for shaving. It works wonders.

Ok. First off, if you don't shave correctly there could be discomfort and irritations but I found a way to make sure that doesn't happen. In your shower, use soap down there and make sure it's clean. Then with a razor(a new one works better) shave in the direction your hair is growing so if your hair grows downward use the razor downward. Be very gentle. After all the hair is off, wash it again good with soap. When you get out of the shower dry everything off. This part may sound weird to you but it works. Put lotion on the area you shaved, be careful not to get it "inside." Then when the lotion dries, put some deodorant down there very carefully. Then you're done! It sounds weird but it works. The lotion stops any itching that could occur, and the deodorant stops razor bumps. I shave about once every week. Good luck.

If you do this you will be fine. I have been doing it for years.
