  1. if you have vodka or jack daniels or something, drink a shot of it and it will make you less nervous but dont drink a lot or if you have loratabs from an injury or something take one of them

  2. You basically have to say to yourself that it is good to be a bit nervous as the Adrenalin rush prepares you for the race ahead.  Just work out a pre race routine and stick to it and try and see yourself going around that first corner.

If it is only your first race just aim to try and stay in touch with the pack and not get lapped.  You don't have to be a star the first time out.

Just say over and over that nerves are good as they help you do what needs doing.

  3. Good advice from rough neck and Auburn, use the nerves for an adrenalin hit. its normal to be nervous before and during any race. it can be a great help once you get used to it. the adrenalin will speed up all your reaction times. eventually apprehension becomes anticipation. you will love it.

  4. Nerves are a good thing...................................... for me

  5. honestly you have nothing to worry about.  first races can be super tough but i bet there are others with the same feeling.  if you haven't practice starts maybe find an open area so you don't go in fresh maybe have you dad drop a stick and when the stick hits the floor pin it.  keep your bike in second gear with you clutch pulled slightly in and keep the rpms up so you don't bog down.  if you are nervous about that you can even start in first.  most of all have fun, on your first race it doesn't matter where you finish, keep yourself at your level and you will do just fine.    so practice a couple starts, get a good breakfast and good luck

  6. My son use to get to the gate and say he was sick....He would not eat until the end of the day...That was years ago now...

Before the race eat a banana and some yogurt..Don't eat a cheeseburger...All the blood in your body will head for that cheeseburger to digest it..

I know you want to win..but this race will only be for learning...So get behind someone if you can that has raced before and see what you can learn from hanging with them...Like lines...speed for jumps..

    Remember!!! breathe

  7. turn off your brain and dont think about it thinking bout it to much will cause you to make alot of mistakes. Just go out there and do your best!!
