I had it for 2 years.  got rid of it after i move somewhere where the cell phone signals were better.

I never had any problems with them. for the price of basic phone service, you get unlimited calls and all the calller id stuff.

However, people complain about them all the time. The truth is if you have a crummy ISP that messes with you network traffic, the phone service will be bad, and thats not vonages fault. Comcast is currently being fined for doing exactly this.

It will go out if the power goes out, but again, *not vonages fault* and can easily be fixed with the usage of a computer UPS backup unit.

In short, you have to be reasonably comfortable with networking tech stuff etc.

I would get it again if I was in a position where i couldnt have a cell phone service at my house but could get good internet.

However, its not something I would get for my grandma.. too much could go wrong..
