  1. my favorite place is Perelandra in brooklyn, i believe it is on remsen ave,it's right across from st.francis college. there prices are affordable and their food is great and organic

  2. Organic is pretty easy but pricey, local is tough.  I believe Whole Foods was all-local once upon a time.  There is a Saturday farmer's market at grand army plaza in Brooklyn that has produce from LI and upstate, but not year-round.  My neighbor is part of a co-op that seems to offer him access to local fare, but myself, I just try to buy the simplest (whole) foods I can.  The picture is so muddled anyway... carbon footprints of local v. non-local, because non-local farms may be more efficient, etc.

  3. well you have farmers market and stuff you can go to through out the city but i know what you mean in the city it can be difficult but you should try to be friend a farmer so maybe he can even help you out and give you some produce but whats more important is eat whats in season because if you do that then its less likely what your eating had to travel 100's to 1,000's of miles to get to you so its better for the planet as well
