  1. best will be on coast. Try in south shields, north shields or even better whitley bay!

  2. It's pretty common to find dogfish -- the smallest of the shark species we get in UK waters -- at fish & chip shops. . Don't look for "dogfish" or "shark" on the menu , though: it's usually called "rock salmon".

Having said that, it's been seriously over-fished for many years: as a diver, I don't eat it any more because I'd rather see it still swimming in the sea than extinct and in batter.

(Here's a link with a bit more info on that for you... http://www.shetlandmarine.com/2007/02%20...  )

  3. I don't think you'll find it very easily.

    It's mostly cod and haddock.

Why do you want it anyway - it's horrible- especially deep fried - YUK!

  4. DON'T think you can find anywhere, and anyway, shark meat is I have read is very unpleasant to eat.

    not a nice meat.

  5. Divvint be daft man.

The only decent fish and chip shops I know of are on North Shields fish quay. At least it is fresh rather than the ones in the Toon.

Don't go to Harry Ramsdens at the Metrocentre as that has gone really down hill over the last couple of years.
