Does anyone here know why some of the Starbucks in KY are closing???

6 Starbucks in KY are closing and basically,they're not giving a specific reason to why they're closing especially on the local news stations. So,does anyone know why Starbucks is just choosing 6 stores in KY especially the one that was just built not too long ago in Danville,KY???

p.s. Tx is closing 57 stores, and CA. is closing around 78 so don't feel bad.  2 stores in my area are closing, but that STILL leaves me with 6 to choose from.  

They're keeping the drive - thru's open and closing mostly the cafe's.

The same reason they are closing stores and laying off workers everywhere else. The economy has gone down the toilet. When people have less discretionary income, they are going to forgo spending on things they figure they can live without, like $4 a cup coffee every day. $4 x 365 = that's $1460 a year. That money can buy a lot of gasoline or a lot of groceries. Not hard to figure out. Same with other industries like the travel and vacation industries. More people are spending their vacations at home or close to home and doing things right where they live. Spending less $$$ which can be used for necessities.....

Believe it or not, Starbucks is actually having some financial difficulties.  Supposedly it'd due to opening too many stores in close proximity to one another.  The incorrectly predicted that high demand would continue whereas it has not.

The reason that Starbucks is struggling is because it is a trendy place. A majority of people who go Starbucks go there so that they can be seen there or with the Starbucks coffee cup. Just like any other trend, it is starting to fade out. Starbucks is past its peak.
