Does anyone here play good old pen abd paper D&D anymore?

I usually prefer other RPGs, myself, but I know some people in and around Chicago who still play.

I've never played it, but I've got lots of the old Avalon Hill games and APBA Baseball that I plan on playing with pencil and paper if I ever get around to retiring from work.

I wish I could find more people to play with, I had a small group getting together once a week for a while but someone would always be sick or busy, so we gave it up.

So I guess the short answer is...not many. :(

I used to enjoy the Basic set.  Then Advanced came out and made gameplay so complex you spend 90% of the time looking up rules, 5% actual gameplay and 5% going to the bathroom or getting snacks.
