Question:

Does anyone here suffer from unexplained dizzy spells?

I get really nasty dizzy spells and heart palpitations which come out of the blue. Nothing in particular seems to trigger them. Exercise is NOT what causes them. I am usually sitting down when they happen. They are really unpleasant. I think it has something to do with my poor circulation because I get cramp in my feet also and bruise really easily. The symptoms have never been there when I visit a doctor so it has taken a long time to convince them that something is wrong.

I'm awaiting the results of some hospital tests - at last - but there's been a hold up and I'd like to try a herbal remedy I've read about. Does anyone have similar symptoms and have you tried a herb called Ginkgo? If so, did it help or has anything else helped?

  1. My guess is high blood pressure. Or maybe diabetes

    Dizzy

    Light headed

    eyes hurt

    warmer than normal feeling

  2. it sounds like you have vertigo.  or at least that might explain the dizziness, the heart palpitations could be from increased anxiety from the dizziness. You should definately think about seeing an ear, nose and throat dr.  They will have a series of test to determine if its vertigo or something else.

  3. Well, I don't know about herbal remedies too much but it sounds a little bit lit anemia which is low iron, if your doc says so you could try something called slow FE.

Ginko as far as I know is a stimulant - like caffeine.

You may also have some other imbalances, I found that a nutritionist was FAR FAR more helpful, in that I was also prone to lack of certain vitamins which I just wasn't getting in my diet.
