Does anyone hire based on e-mailed resumes?

I'm looking for a job and was told I have a great resume by friends. However, every time I send my resume via e-mail (which is 99% of the time), I never get a response. Does the human resource department even look at e-mailed resumes, or do they toss them in the garbage? If so, what is the best way to apply for a job with a resume?

  1. I just did the same thing and got a call for an interview within two days so i would say keep it out there and wait. But it is also better to give it to them in person that way you know they received it.

  2. Why don't you check out Career Builder.com on line and see if you want to sign on.  They can match your skills and interest with what is available and yes your resumes are electronically enabled.........You could also check out Monster.com.

  3. Noramally not!
