Question:

Does anyone in South Wales actually surf in the fall/winter?

I'm only here until January, and I would love to start surfing/windsurfing, but I can't get a straight answer out of any of the surfing clubs (which charge member fees now) as to whether they are actually going to surf now or wait until spring. Thanks for reading!

  1. Rest Bay in Porthcawl has a surfing club and one of the resorts won an award a couple of months back as "best for Surfing", not sure which, think it was either the Gower or Rhossili!

  3. I don`t know about surfing in the fall but I know a lot of them fall in the surf . Be safe and enjoy.

  4. I spent 6 months in north wales last year doing exactly that, the north is the best place to be all year round for that sort of activity. Have a go on the menai straights.
