  1. go to criaglist.org in the free stuff catogory someone is always giving away free boxes on that site

  2. I can't, but what I've done when I'm moving is go to your local store.  I always went to the local grocery store, or Michaels.  Go to any store that you shop at frequently and they may possibly recognize you.  If not, just pick a store that seems to have nice people.  Talk to one of the clerks, or the manager if possible, and tell them you're moving and were wondering if they have any extra boxes that you can have.  Most stores have an excess of boxes that they usually crush and recycle, but are willing to help out people if they need a few boxes.  I suggest trying to get tomato, apple, and banana boxes from grocery stores if you can.  They are nice and sturdy and work well for storing your stuff all semester that you don't need (and will handle a few moves before falling apart).  If you know when their delivery day is, try to hit them up then.  Some places, especially small local grocery stores, will even save boxes for you so you can pick them up when they have a few saved.

Good luck and have fun in college!
