Question:

Does anyone in the bay area know where the best place to surf is for a begginer?

I'm trying to find a place in the San Francisco area or Bay Area that can provide a good surf for begginers. Something that will be fun, no wave disputes with locals, easy to get too and especialy no sharks. So if anyone knows of a place please let me know. So I can get my surf on!

  1. Yes, Pacifica has some great beaches, where lots of beginner surfers learn.  Pacific State Beach.  The waves are small and easy to ride.  Just look for the big parking lot off Hwy 1 - it's a very popular beach park.

    Ocean Beach at San Francisco is NOT a beginner site and is very dangerous.
