  1. Take her into a shoe store and have her feet sized.  You can even do it yourself at some places.

  2. Each child grows differently, but my kids 'usually' grew a size every year or so.

  3. I don't think there's a set growth rate.  My daughter wore a size 2 for about 2 months when she was between 11 and 13 months old.  Then, all of a sudden none of her shoes fit, and we had her foot measured at Stride Rite, and they said she needed a 4.  I was kind of worried because her feet were so small, and then they just grew all of a sudden, almost over night.  She also grew 2 1/2 inches in height during that time.  Now, she's been wearing the 4's for a couple of months, and they still fit fine.  I have no idea when she'll need a 5 or a 6.  Her growth definitely seems to come in sudden spurts.

  4. My son is 20 months old and has been in 5s for a few months now.  We are only buying the size up though for now since by the time he needs new shoes, he will have most likely grown.  They say too small shoes are worse for them than too big shoes.
