Does anyone know ANYTHING about Ecuador's industry?

besides oil, that is controlled by the state the most advanced industry is fishing and specially tuna. it is one of the most important products in our industry. the main port for tuna explotation is Manta, so the mayor factories for processing tuna are there. another important industry works with shrimp. ecuadorian shrimp is one of the best in the world because its size. that industry is located in the coast and has huge pools for shrimp's development. those are the 2 mayor industries here in ecuador. we produce other products such as bananas, potatoes, corn, rice, sugar cane, cacao... but they don't involve an industrial process as tuna and shrimp do. industry in ecuador is developing in the last years, because we were used to export primary goods. here in ecuador little industries are very common, so it seems that at last we are starting to create a national industry. i hope this can help you.

Mainly, state controlled oil. Also bananas, shrimps, fish, flowers, coffe, cocoa, and other agricultural products.
