Does anyone know American Airlines regulations on carrying liquor?

I am going to San Juan PR and want to bring some bottles of Bacardi Rum back home to the mainland.

  1. Regulations regarding liquor, as well as any other acceptable liquids, are not under the jurisdiction of AA or any other airline.  They are administered by the TSA (Transportation Security Administration).  And you would have to put it in your checked luggage, since it is no longer allowed as carry-on.  One more thing - you said "bottles".  Keep in mind that there is a limit of one liter that you can bring back duty-free.  Don't believe it?  Click here:

  2. they used to let you put them in on your carry on im not sure anymore, mite have to put it in luggage wrapped good so it dont break.
