Does anyone know BIG money raisers?

Question

Heya, my class does charity events to raise money for IFAW and SSAFFA...we're kinda stuck for ideas. We've had a year and we only raised £40 in total - XP

Does anyone have any ideas of BIGBIGBIG money raisers?

PS:

If your school has a good music scene, you could do a battle of the bands

A jumble sale.Knock up loads of leaflets explaining what you are doing & post them around saying you will be back in a week or so to collect any donations to the sale.With the help of classmates & teachers follow up & collect the junk people want to get rid of.The jumble sale should be well advertised ie local press,free notice boards in supermarkets,parents of children at school.The school hall would be an ideal place for the sale.Unless the health and safety/insurance people at your school have any objections & with the help of the whole class a few hundred pounds could possibly be raised.
