Im looking for a nightclub in edinburgh which i can hire but I dont want to use the bar. Does anyone know anywhere?

  1. Scottish licensing laws don't allow this.

If I were you, I would scope out a premises where I wanted to hold a function.  I would then ask the bar if I could bring outside booze in, and how much their 'corking fee' is.  A corking fee means you supply the alcohol but they uncork it and serve it to you.  This way, the bar can make some money but in the end, you save some money by bringing in your own alcohol.  In my experience I've found that most people like to buy drinks from the bar by the end of the night, so I would talk to management and see what they have to say.  They may charge you for the room hire, but some places throw in the room hire for free if you use the bar.  Let me know how you get on!

    I don't think you'll be able to hire a licenced premises without spending something at the bar.
