Yes - dogbreedinfo is a good one and so is dogsindepth and don't forget the AKC plus the next one . I have, about, 80 web pages for cats and dogs in my favourites (but most are medical).   Links below ...  

This is a lot of information to absorb but, if you're a dedicated, Always and Forever, Student as I am, by this time next year you should be an expert!  It would be good if, some time in the not too distant future, there was a career option to be a Consultant for Choosing the Best Dog for Your Family as many people have little idea of breed temperament, hereditary factors, etc, so need sound advice in making this decision.

dogster.com is really good.  they have lots of info and many forums where you can talk to real dog owners.  it's also fun to browse the different dog profiles.
