  1. I madechimichangas at college once.  basically its a filled tortilla (we used cherries i think) that is folded over and deep fried. served with ice cream ... very nice.

  2. It is mexican and not sure of the spelling but think it is

    Chimichanga

  3. Doesn't he have that show on late nite TV?

  4. i'm going to have to go with the group and say you're thinking of Chimichanga unless you know something we don't.  it's a bigger version of a taquito.  which is a tightly wrapped, deep fried taco.  in the case of a chimichanga, it's a tightly wrapped, deep fried BURRITO.  get a burrito shell, put some refried beans and meat( and cheese, if you want)  wrap tightly.  use a toothpick to seal or sometimes i use olive oil to seal it and deep fry.   when it's done, drain and cover with cheese and lettuce  i ususally make a spicy tomato sauce with spices and some of the grease i used to cook the meat( usually pork) when i make them

  5. yes it origionally from mexico called chimbouna, and in 1890 2 british men sold this origionally in scotland and called it jchimachanga and in the first world war it was popular but the 2 men died and no-one carried on the dish as a big thing however the recipe is still availiable

  7. James Martin has a recipe on the BBC website -

    Ingredients

    500ml/18fl oz vegetable oil

    1 tbsp olive oil

    2 cloves garlic, chopped

    ½ tsp dried chilli flakes

    100g/3½oz chicken breast, chopped

    6 Peppadew peppers, chopped

    6 French beans, chopped

    large handful coriander, chopped

    1 lime, juice only

    2 ready-made tortilla wraps

    2 handfuls fresh parsley

2 limes, cut into quarters, to garnish

    ½ tsp paprika, to garnish

    Method

    1. Heat the oil in a deep, heavy-bottomed pan. It is ready when a breadcrumb that is dropped in will sizzle gently in it. (CAUTION: hot oil can be dangerous. Do not leave unattended.)

    2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan and sauté the garlic, chilli and chicken.

    2. Add the peppers, beans and coriander and stir together for a further minute.

    3. Add the lime juice and remove from the heat.

    4. Divide the mixture between the two tortilla wraps, then roll up like a spring roll and secure with toothpicks.

    5. Deep fry the tortillas for two minutes until golden, then remove carefully with a slotted spoon and drain on kitchen towels. Cut on the diagonal.

    6. To serve, place the parsley on a large plate, add the tortillas and garnish with the lime wedges and a sprinkle of paprika.

  12. I know a Jimmy Chunga

Jimmy Chunga is the only original member of the KENZ morning show, first starting the show by himself on January 1st, 1996. Chunga had worked previously at X96 as a Radio From h**l producer and station DJ.

Chunga debuted on the morning show, first solo and then later adding Marcus.  However, in 1999 the show hosted a contest entitled "The Cruise of Dreams," after which Marcus did not return to the show. The actual events of the cruise remain unannounced to the public.  Shortly after the departure of Marcus, Mister West joined the morning show as Chunga's partner. This change placed Chunga with his former partner from "Saturday Cold Case" which had previously aired on X96.
