I think you would be better off with your own ecommerce site with your own domain, www.yourdomain.com. Then use ebay to advertise your site. You can run your own ecommerce site for as little as $4.25/ month. An ebay store cost a minimum of $15/month, more if you choose the higher package. Then you pay closing cost fees which is a percentage of the selling price. These fees add up.

http://www.mybizontheweb.com is perfect for what you want to do.  It's free, you can list products, newsletter, paypal, and more.  They have prebuilt themes and will build a custom one for you for a nominal fee.
