I am a 19 year old girl who lives in New Jersey and has been into 3 accidents since I got my license. Now my insurance company won't renew and I definitely can't afford something that is more than 5,000 dollars a year. I need my car to get to work and school but I need insurance to have it on the street. What can I do???

  1. I am going to have to agree with Progressive.  If a business succeeds, it's because they are easy to do business with, and Progressive is.

You can do everything on the phone or Internet, so you don't have to go to an office for some guy to write down your VIN and then try to up-sell you on life insurance.

When I lived in Clearwater, I dated a girl that worked for their operational hub in St. Petersburg and she loved it.  Typically places that take care of their employees take care of their customers.

In the past 6 years, every time my credit score has improved they've contacted me to notify me that my rates have been reduced.  I added my motorcycle and renters insurance when I moved because I am so pleased with them.

I also just moved to a larger metropolitan area which would've normally meant a rate increase.  However, based on my loyalty, they waived any rate increase.

  2. Try using http://My-InsuranceSearch.com to compare car insurance rates for all the major providers in your area.

  3. Your rates will be high where ever you go. I have American Family and once you are with them they never cancel you. If the accidents were not your fault your chances are better. Could your Mom or Dad add you to their policy with you as the "principle" driver? Your rates will be much lower if they will do that for you. Good Luck,

  4. www.progressive.com

  5. You can try this company - http://autoinsurance.undonet.com - I personally have their car insurance in New Jersey. As I know their policy for bad driving record is not such expensive as from other companies.

  6. I have state farm. i really like them.sadly you will have to pay much more because of your accidents.

  7. STATE FARM- hands down.

Don't go with a 2nd rate insurance company because if you get in an accident their service is horrible because they want to save their money.

State Farm is so credible you know you are going to get paid what you deserve. They are professional-- you won't get screwed when claims time comes around.

  8. Every insurance company is different and every person is different. There is really not one insurance company that is the best overall.  Since you have been in a few accidents, your rate will be a bit higher unfortunately but that doesnt mean your insurance premium has to be outrageous.

I have noticed that Geico and Progressive usually have lower rates but an important thing to think about is whether or not your auto insurance company will come through for you when you need them (accident, stolen car, etc.) Some of the cheaper companies will fight you for every dollar they pay you for an accident.

The best thing to do is to compare multiple quotes to see which company offers you the best rate.  The key to cheap auto insurance is doing your research!  I found the website below and it was very helpful for me.  It allows you to compare quotes from all insurance companies in your area for free.

    Good luck! Hope this helped!
