Does anyone know a good free place to pitch a tent and camp over night in VA around the Norfolk area?

I am willing to do some traveling.

my husband and I are from Pa and he would like to go camping when he pulls back in around the end of Aug. any help is great

i would either look up around jamestown or williamsburg; or south on the beach just inside of North Carolina
