Just across the river in Jews Row ( to the west of Wandsworth Bridge) there is a pub called The Ship which is great. It has  one side that is still very much the local pub but then has a fantastic dinign room and open fires with views onto the river. I really enjoy my sunday lunch there when i go!

Also on Wandsworth Bridge Road (north side) there is a pub on the corner by the PCWorld superstore and the Curry's place. I have been in there a few times and that is good. They re-vamped it last year and its really nice and chilled.
