Does anyone know a good place for a student to rent in Brisbane near QUT??

I really need a good, non-shared 1 bedroom apartment, prefrably near the uni.. anyone know?

Most of the QUT campus is in the central business district and living there will be expensive.  I suggest look in the South Brisbane area, preferably near bridges or ferries. That will be less expensive.  If you don't mind a walk, think about suburbs along the rail lines, the campus is about the same walking distance from both Central and Roma Street stations.  

Don't expect to drive there, parking is almost non-existent.

It depends on the campus. Best area for Gardens Point is just across the river in West End, Highgate Hill or Sth Bris, if it's Kelvin Grove, then Kelvin Grove itself, Herston or Red Hill. Lots and lots of share accommodation.
