  2. "A Teacher for All Seasons"

    A teacher is like Spring,

    Who nurtures new green sprouts,

    Encourages and leads them,

    Whenever they have doubts.

    A teacher is like Summer,

    Whose sunny temperament

    Makes studying a pleasure,

    Preventing discontent.

    A teacher is like Fall,

    With methods crisp and clear,

    Lessons of bright colors

    And a happy atmosphere.

    A teacher is like Winter,

    While it’s snowing hard outside,

    Keeping students comfortable,

As a warm and helpful guide.

Teacher, you do all these things,

    With a pleasant attitude;

You’re a teacher for all seasons,

    And you have my gratitude!

  6. one of my students gave me a card that said "east or west my teacher is the best" ... that's all i can think of.

  7. I am a Senior majoring in Early Childhood Education. We have worked with many portfolios for preschool children. One poem that we always use is "How Shall I teach this Child?". Many people do not realize that when they walk into a prek class and see the children playing in centers, they are LEARNING. For preschool aged children..they learn through play..anyways..here is the poem.

"How shall I teach this Child"

I tried to teach my child with books.

He gave me only puzzled looks.

I tried to teach my child with words.

They passed him by often unheard.

    Despairingly, I turned aside.

"How shall I teach this child?" I cried.

Into my hand he put the key

"Come," he said, "play with me."
