  1. This is my recipe and my family loves it.

1 cup rice, 1 can of vegetable broth, 1 medium onion diced, 1/2 green bell pepper diced, 2 pickled jalapenos, 4 tablespoons of enchilada or taco sauce, 2 tablespoon salsa, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1 packet of Goya Sazon, 3 teaspoons of oil (olive or vegetable)

Rinse the rice until water runs clear and then soak in clean water for 10 minutes. Meanwhile prep all other ingredients. In a saucepan heat the oil, add cumin, onions, jalapenos, bell pepper and saute. Then add rice (without the water), taco/enchilada sauce, salsa and garlic powder. Add the broth and Goya Sazon. Cover with lid and bring rice to a boil. RIce should be done in about 18 - 20 minutes. Enjoy

  2. STIR-FRY RICE & BEEF

    2 lbs. sirloin

    1 med. onion

    1 c. ketchup

    1/2 c. sugar

    2 cloves garlic, minced

3 c. cooked, long grain rice

    1 med. green pepper

    2 tbsp. vegetable oil

    Dash vinegar

Cut meat into thin slices, about 1" long. Cut onion into wedges and pepper into thin strips, removing seeds. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in wok over high heat, add meat and garlic. Stir-fry until meat is brown and tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from wok. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in wok over medium high heat. Add onion and pepper. Stir-fry until vegetables are tender-crisp, about 2 minutes. Add meat and rice to vegetables. Combine all remaining ingredients in saucepan, bring to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes. Pour over rice, meat and vegetables. Stir-fry until mixed well; serve warm. Serves 6 to 8.

  3. I don't know if they're any good or not, but there is a Spanish rice recipe on www.elise.com and a fried rice recipe on chinesefood.about.com.

    kk hope this helped...>_<

  5. Yes, here is a good one.  You can make many variations of this recipe.  If you do not like fish cake (cannot find it or are afraid to try it..try adding cooked peas). Make sure you cook the rice the day before and refrigerate overnight.

    Ingredients:

5 C Cooked long grain rice

2 lbs Char siu, cut in bite size pieces

2 Hot Portuguese sausage cut in bite size pieces

    3 Eggs

    1 bunch Green onions, chopped

    1 large Carrot, shredded

4 Tbsp Kochu Jang paste (Korean hot sauce) 2 blocks Kamaboko (fish cake), julienned

    3/4 C Oyster sauce

    4 Tbsp Vinegar

    2 Tbsp Sugar

    4 Tbsp Soy sauce

1 small pkg. Bonito flakes (dried fish flakes)

    Cooking Instructions:

In a wok or large frying pan, cook portuguese sausage chunks, add in char siu pieces. Do not drain frying pan, add rice and stir. Add oyster sauce, green onions, kamaboko, let cook, stirring regularly. In a separate frying pan, make three omelettes and cut into julienne slices. Add to the fried rice. In a small bowl, combine Kochu Jang sauce, vinegar, soy sauce and sugar, mix well with a fork. The consistency should be like a thick liquid sauce (add more of any one of the ingredients to achieve this). Add carrots, bonito flakes and sauce mixture to the fried rice, stirring well. Cook for 5 minutes.

  6. Spanish Rice

    1 Cup rice

    1 pound ground beef

    1/2 chopped onion

    1 large can tomato sauce

    1 can Campbell tomato soup

1 tsp sugar,or a packet of artificial sugar(will cut the acid in the tomato sauce.

Cook rice, drain, fry the ground beef and onions, when done add the tomato sauce, and soup to the rice and beef and then simmer for 10 minutes, stir often,I sometimes add a 1/2 cup ketsup if it needs a little more tomato sauce. This recipe can also be used to stuff green peppers, or burritos, very versatile
