Question:

Does anyone know a good song for a dance senior solo? (jazz and/or ballet)

I have to pick a song for my senior solo at dance, and I can do whatever I want pretty much. I want to do a song that starts out slow, for ballet, but then picks up to do a jazz part to. If that isn't plausible, then any songs that i can do either ballet or jazz to would be helpful.

It has to be clean, the owner of the studio doesn't allow any bad words, and that includes drug and alcohol references.

I can edit songs together, if that's all you can think of, just please list the songs I should edit.

I may not be able to do anything Broadway, because the studio just did a Broadway theme last year, and it could get a little redundant.

  1. Dancing by Elisa. Actually anything by Elisa is great to do solos to. "Dancing" takes a little while to pick up speed. "Teach Me Again (Elisa Version)" is good too.

    Another few suggestions:

    Mandy Moore: Adore Her; Gardenia

    Jesse McCartney: Invincible

Jordan Sparks: Now You Tell Me

Leona Lewis: Better In Time; Bleeding Love

MIKA: Grace Kelly; Lollipop; Love Today; My Interpretation

The Fray: Heaven Forbid; How to Save a Life

Backstreet Boys: Poster Girl; Just Want You to Know

  2. ok have you seen save the last dance the first and second one ?

if you have either do the song when she is preforming at the end r the one when she was trying to get into Jullian preforming arts school.

  3. keep bleeding by leona lewis is a good idea

my dance teacher uses it in jazz class all the time

  4. Maybe boston from augustana!

  5. i love dancing to musical songs, although most of my favorites are broadway.

try something from wicked, mary poppins, les miserables, or any fosse piece... if you do fosse, try to learn the original choreography though

  6. I would check out the new Coldplay CD.  Viva La Vida would be an awesome song, although it would be intense.

Then you could always go with the never failing Missy Higgins or Regina Spektor.
