Does anyone know a good way to clean the outside of pots and pans?

I have this red pot and pan set that my boyfriend bought me for valentines day, and there is all this gunk and black stuff on the bottom and a little on the sides. I have tried scrubbing but it just doesn't seem to come off.. Does anyone know a remedy that will make the pots and pans look new again? They are nonstick, and do not have a copper bottom.

Thanks!

  1. make up a paste of bi carbonate soda, one teaspoon water to about a tablespoon bi carb soda) spread it on the base or where effected leave it on for an hour use a soft cloth in circular motions to remove oven stains or clogged burned food.

  2. I always found that a Ajax or comet works good, you just can't use it on the non stick part but it really cleans the outside good.

  3. Soap and water always worked for me.

  4. Brillo pads

  5. Brillo pad AND elbow grease!  Sounds like elbow grease has been your missing ingredient.
