I have tried dryer sheets and it worked a little, is there a certain kind to use? Or does anyone have a better idea?

  1. You can do one of two things, at any hardware store they sell a wallpaper perforator.  It puts little tiny holes in the border.

After you run the perforator over the border, take 2/3 downy liquid fabric softener (not sheets) and 1/3 hot water in a spray bottle.  Spray an area  of the border and let it sit for just a minute.  It should soften up the glue enough to pull it off.  You may have to use a hair dryer to heat the glue up some, but thats the easiest way I have found to do it.

  2. I have used a 50/50 solution of liquid fabric softener and water in a squirt bottle. If you get the roughest sandpaper you can find, OR one of those coiled metal pot scrubbers and scratch the plastic surface of the border, THEN saturate it with the solution, THEN let it sit for a couple of hours, (respraying as it dries), the border can be easily scraped off with a wide sheetrock knife of a 5 in one tool. And it smells nice!

  3. I have used the laziest of methods, a steam vaporizer. Fill it, close the door, and let the seam fill the room. Once warmed and damp, should peel off with no effort at all.
