Does anyone know a good way to get bad smells out of the house??

My Basement has a smell of like an old garage or something, i have tried so many things to get that scent out What is a good thing to get rid of tha smell?

Kick the stinker who lives in the basement, out!  LoL  Just kidding.  Well if it's an unfinished basement, it may not completely go away, especially if it's an old house.  But I would try Fabreeze air freshener.  I know the fabric freshener works great on musty smelling cloth in the laundry or odors on cloth furniture and drapes with the fabric spray.  So I would think the air freshener would work better than most.  Also leave  6 or 7  open boxes of baking soda in different locations across the basement, it helps absorb odors.  Even sprinkle some on troublesome areas, can absorb odors and be vacuumed up after.

If there's windows there, open them up. Put a few fans there. And spray air freshener.
