Fimo is like play doh but you can put it in the oven to harden it.

  1. (Fimo is one brand of "polymer clay"...it's manufactured by Eberhard Faber and comes in two lines: FimoClassic and Fimo Soft.)

I have a website that's  sort of like a huge encyclopedia of lessons, info, links to examples, variations, etc., of all things related to polymer clay.

To see what all I have at the whole site, try the Table of Contents page:

    http://glassattic.com/polymer/contents.h...

(scroll all the way down, then use the alphabetical navigation bar to go to any of the pages)

...or just start from the Home page:

    http://glassattic.com

Since you used the words "model making," you may be most interested in the pages at my site that deal with "sculpting" the clay though, so check out those pages first.

(There are many other things beside sculpting that can be done with polymer clays though!).

    Have fun!

  2. so a googfle search

  3. I don't know a website but Search Press do a book called Polymer Clay Greetings Cards by Candida Woolhouse which has instructions and some nice designs. It costs £6.99

  4. Try Polymer Clay Central: http://www.polymerclaycentral.com/

They have projects, forums to ask questions, all kinds of stuff! I make jewelry out of polymer, and I use this site as a resource all the time. Have fun sculpting!
