  1. ebay are good

  2. eBay is OK, but usually shipping on a bike is about $50 or so. Many bike shops have a selection of used bikes for sale. Don't forget to check yard sales, too.  My son just got an old Univega for $5.00. All I had to do was buy a new front wheel and we were on the road for under $50.

  3. http://www.ebay.co.uk/

or if you want one new try

    http://shopping.kelkoo.co.uk/ctl/do/sear...

  4. The best - if you live in an area covered by it - is www.gumtree.com.

  5. www.walmart.com

  6. The cheapest place is the Police Bumblebee auctions. Every year, hundreds of bikes are stolen. Many are later recovered by the police but not claimed. The Police then auction them off online. I don't know where you're based, but £18 will buy you a Stealth Dual Suspension DuoTech Mantrax 312 bike in Harrogate, while £8.50 will get you a Diamond Back in Littlehampton (prices correct at 15:45 BST 19th May). Don't buy a cheapy thing from Halfords - you'll regret it. I've had two bikes from Bumblebee and they were both great.

  7. Try 'craigslist.org'.    There is a list of states on the right side of the screen and that takes you to a list of cities. There are always a ton of bikes advertised in my area, ranging from cheap to really nice and expensive.

    I got a pretty nice 18-speed for $30
