Does anyone know a lot about water pumps? I have a 13 mt deep open well and I need to pump water upto a height

of 15 mts.I am told I can choose between a submersible pump or a jet pump, both of 1 HP. Which pump type is better especially in terms of maintenance and working life? also which make is best? I am based in India.

We use a submersible sump pump and it is a horse and a half but it is just our irrigation well and is about 50 ft deep.
