Question:

Does anyone know a quick, easy, cheap craft?

I really want to make something and sell it, but, I don't know what. I make keychains, coasters, Christmas tree ornaments, etc. out of leather, but leather is really expensive. I tried knitting scarves & hats out of looms, but it takes forever. I was helping my neighbor make "Fuzzlies", which are puffballs with googly eyes on 'em. (some are bears, fruits, aliens, etc.) But, those are kinda lame and I don't know how much money I could actually make with that. So, idk!

Please help!

  1. Quilling! Very cheap to do.

Just shread coloued copy paper through a 6mm or a 3mm shreader and quill it. You can find tuition for simple quilling shapes on the internet. But it can be done anywhere, just sit and twiddle the paper strips while watching the tv. You can glue the ends and amass loads and then have  play about making flowers etc. Don't roll to tight, lose curl and glue.

  2. Once you get the hang of it you can make hemp jewelry really quick. Try crocheting! It's way easier than knitting. I can make a scarf in 2hrs and i've only been doing this for 1yr!

  3. Jewelry is always good and you can do things as simple as friendship bracelets or bandana braceltes. Or you could do lanyards (I have know clue how, but they look cool :-) That's all I've got. Hope I helped! (lemonade&cookies also work well)

  4. If you have a loom (one of those cheap, Indian looms works great), get some seed beads and make bracelets. Super easy, very quick. And instead of having to weave in each of those darn threads, just tuck them behind the beads. Then take a piece of faux leather (or any type of material, really), put some material glue on it, glue it so that it hides the threads and keeps them tucked between the beads and the backing. Let it dry, trim the edges and your done. For a super easy clasp, before putting the backing on, run some embroidery thread through the beads and let the ends sit with the rest of the thread. For the other end, do the same thing, but put a button on the end. Leave it a little loose so that you can pull the button through your loop on the other end. Then attach your backing.

Sounds complicated, but it's easy to do and it's quick. Also, if you have graph paper,  you can make any type of design you can come up with and then just follow your own design. Good luck!
