I am staying there soon and haven't yet before BUT it looks clean and safe... very basic but rather inexpensive... so I can't say with personal knowledge what it would be like...

and I have stayed here :

Hotel Discovery is a backpackers but a great place to stay. Believe they have double rooms at extra charge.www.hoteldiscovery.com.au
