Does anyone know a recipe or substitute for bowstring wax?

The nearest Gander Mountain or REI is really far away, and those are the closest places i know of that sell hunting things. I need some bowstring wax. Does anyone know of a recipe or substitute for something that works like bowstring wax? like- beeswax or something?

Bees Wax. ( Clear shoe polish in a pinch).

How about mail order the stuff.  Or get some beeswax.  I know of people who uses surf board wax.

Bowstring Wax is basically Bee's Wax.  One friend who is into archery gets pure Bee's Wax
