  1. I agree with Joe S, You need fiberglass resin and hardener. Mix a batch and be careful to follow instructions exactly. It's a chemical reaction that burns and can explode when not mixed properly. The marine domain is where you should go looking for the best 'glue' so to speak. I believe Joe gave you the best answer.

  2. Polyester (polyester suspended in resin) is used in conjunction with glas fibre matting i.e for modern sports boats etc but is not 100% waterproof. Boat hulls soak up some water. To water proof the fibre glas you can use a epoxy resin based under water paint. You can get this in any marine chandlery. Hope this helps.

  4. I just use a poly spray. I bought some little statues and painted them to look like the seven dwarfs with craft paint and just sprayed a clear coat of poly on them. They have been in the front yard for over 5 years and  still lokk like when I first painted them.
