I just bought a mountain bike from a second hand store. It is a 26" NEXT mens dual suspension bike looks like from walmart like new!! The back brakes rub really bad. I have been looking all over the net trying to find a site that shows how to fix these brakes but have had no luck. This has to be a bike that alot of ppl have. Anyone know? Or anyone have the manufacturer website? Looks like someone scratched off all the stickers on the bike I have and put their own on.

  1. Visit the Bicycling website----they have a 'Bicycle Repair & Maintenance' book available (www.bicycling.com) ---it's a cool book and very useful!

  2. Make sure your rim is not out of whack.  I assume you have cantilever brakes?!?  There is a little hex-head s***w on one side to balance out the spring tension.  If not, you may have to play with the cable between the two arms.

  3. http://www.sheldonbrown.com/brakes/index...

number one site for DIY bicycle people

Thanks Be to the Late Sheldon Brown

  4. Here's one popular of many, many sites on bike repair. Not sure how you couldn't find any. This site has brake repair and adjustment. Parktools.com
