My pet finch is a real sweetie, he wasn't hand raised, but I did get him very young, just as he fledged.
I've had him for 18months.
He thinks I'm his mate and he cries if I leave him, as he only wants to be with me. He is ok if he HAS to stay with another family member when I just HAVE to go somewhere and can't take him, but he calls for me and just can't wait to get back to me when I return.
So when I can I take him with me and he sleeps in my top and drinks water from my fingernail. He sings to me and kisses me, sometimes the kisses are sharp! (OUCH!!)
He plays with my hair and knows his name.
He sort of speaks to me.
He takes a bath every day and then comes to me to get warm and dry.
I love him SO much and I know he totally loves me.
If someone touches me he "screams" at them and "attacks" them, imagining that he is protecting me, it's SO endearing!
He's the most wonderful Finch in the world, being with him has given me the most immense joy, I wouldn't trade time with him for anything!
This is my query:
When I am cold and I shiver and say "brrrrrr" he goes crazy and sings his little head off and pecks at my lips and jumps at my mouth! What do you think it means?
