I was wondering if it can by-pass protective coding, like they have on Disney movies? Also, can you use it without a computer? Thanks!

  1. Hi Katie,

You can legally make a copy of your DVDs for a backup. To do this you have to bypass the copy protection.

With a computer you can do this easily and simply with AnyDVD. AnyDVD runs in the background and renders the DVD copyable so any copy program will copy it. Go here to read about and get a free trial of AnyDVD - http://www.slysoft.com/en/

To do it without a computer you can buy a device that bypasses the copy guard for about $25. See an example here - http://quaindinc.stores.yahoo.net/bvistr...
