Question:

Does anyone know about .NAF files?

I used my new Nikon D300 last night and some of the files were showing up as .NAF but I didn't think anything of it since I could see them on the screen. I have uploaded all of my cards to Lightroom and the .NAF files appear to be missing. Now I can't even see them in the camera. Does anyone know what to do?

  1. Those are the NEF files ... Nikon's RAW files

In order to see NEF files on Lightroom you will have to download the latest Adobe RAW plug-in for Lightroom.

And by the way, Windows has a RAW viewer that works just fine when you are editing (sorting) your images using the file manager.

  2. You can find out about NAF files here http://tools.netsa.cert.org/naf/ . They shouldn't be required for your downloaded images. Are they showing up in the DCIM folder? Are the raw and jpg files okay?
